Composite Resin Veneers vs Porcelain Veneers

We have to start by saying that whatever you do to keep your smile bright and healthy is great!

There are so many different products on the market and we will do our best to profile the differences between each dental veneer product, specifically composite resin veneers vs porcelain veneers and how this applies to our range of GlamSmile veneers.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers before they are applied look a little like fake fingernails and are designed to be bonded to the form of the tooth. Each porcelain veneer is custom-made to each particular tooth and they look and feel very natural. Most of the time people will say “I love your smile”, but they will rarely realise that the smile has been upgraded with porcelain veneers as the results are so natural.

Composite Veneers

Composite resin veneers are applied one layer at a time to slowly cover the existing tooth. Each layer is shaped and cured with a blue light by your dentist until the final result is achieved. This procedure can be done in one appointment as there are no impressions to be sent away to a lab. All existing teeth are worked on in one visit. Any chips or cracks to composite veneers can be repaired in the chair by your dentist and the veneer does not have to be sent away.

In addition to this composite veneers are cheaper than porcelain veneers.

At SmileOn Perth we may provide a combination of composite and porcelain veneers and we will explain all of these options and costs to you are your first visit.
